Dream On

Hi friends! I am so glad you stopped by to see what all the fuss is about. It’s just me chasing after my dream, that’s all. Anyone who has known me for any amount of time knows that I am a lover of all things creative. As a child I would spend my time indoors with a box of crayons and some paper and nothing made me happier. Not much has changed. I love making any old ordinary thing beautiful. It feels like home to me. If you asked me even a year ago if I would have my own business I would have laughed at you and to a lot of you I did. Well for that I am sorry. Thank you for believing in my more than I did. I am humbled to have been given the opportunity to work along with some of the top vendors in the wedding industry in Jacksonville. During this time I not only learned a million different ways to fold a napkin or which items to add to the old emergency kit but I found myself. I learned that being in the wedding industry and helping someone create the event they had dreamed about for decades was a feeling that warms the heart. I learned that while I love every bit of the logistics of an event my heart is in the details. My mind is constantly thinking of new ideas and concepts for a photo shoot or event. I keep a notebook with me everywhere I go and it is full of random yet, fabulous ideas. Earlier this year it hit me while I was pinning away like a maniac on Pinterest. I can’t NOT do this. This is a part of me, this is what I was made to do. I went back and forth struggling with the idea of becoming a designer and stylist on my own. It terrified me to be completely honest with ya’ll. In August I was recommended to a bride to style her engagement shoot in Alabama. It was on the bride’s cattle farm in the middle of nowhere. That trip settled it for me. It was one of the best experiences of my life, honestly. That moment along with a couple other kick in the pants made me realize that there will never be a time when the stars align and it’s the perfect moment to go for it. So here it goes!

What goals or dreams are you putting off and why? I am looking forward to sharing DIY projects and design inspiration on here. I would also love to be a resource for you if you have questions about crafting or designing your wedding or social event.
