Matthew & Carolyn | Museum of Fine Arts, St. Pete Wedding

Matthew is a dear friend of about 20 years that is like family to me. He actually officiated my wedding so when Matt proposed to Carolyn I was excited to offer my help with their wedding. The best part of the whole process was the time that I got to spend with them and get to know Carolyn better. I loved the way they checked in and supported each other throughout the planning process.

They didn’t want their wedding to be fussy or over the top. They wanted it to be classic with subtle touches of green and gold, a little nod to their alma mater, University of South Florida. It was also important to them that their guests have a lot of fun. I think we checked all the boxes. Their band, Actual Bank Robbers was an absolute blast with all the best songs from high school, hello boy bands and Eminem. I highly recommend them if you want a packed dance floor.

I loved Carolyn’s stunning BHLDN gown and think the delicate crown of greenery was the perfect touch. I loved that her girls wore mismatched but coordinating dresses in greens and golds. They looked beautiful!

They had their ceremony and reception at The Musuem of Fine Arts, St. Pete and it was beautiful. I love the portraits Verance Photography took around the incredible artwork and other stunning architectural details that the museum has to offer.

I created their seating chart with help from Veatch House Woodworking by incorporating different types of greenery on cards made by Remi Design Co. I think it was the perfect way to add in the elements of greenery that they wanted. It was Matt & Carolyn’s idea to name their tables after well-known and talented artists and I think it was perfect for an art museum wedding.

Matt and Carolyn, you two are a great pair and I loved that I was able to help celebrate you both. Wishing you many years of happiness.
